Fire to Fragrance

Hi everyone, it’s been a long time here. I give glory to God for helping finish what kept me from blogging. I’m back by God’s good grace.

So, starting right away;

I went out with my friend to the salon few days ago. The hairdresser had two hair dryers. The heat emanating from one of the hair dryers was very high compared to the other even when the switches of both were put at the same level at the same time.

Apparently, no one liked to use the dryer emitting the higher heat because it could sometimes feel like your brain is on fire, like one who has been intoxicated with too much intake of weed and is having a severe burning sensation in the head. But it’s always worth it to use that dryer because it makes one’s hair dry faster and very well.

On the other hand, the other dryer is slower and instead of emanating heat, it rather emanates warm air making it comfy for those who prefer to use it. Unfortunately, it takes a long time for one’s hair to dry and it also does not dry well too when it is used. It only wastes electricity. And when hair is not well dried and tied together, especially for those with permed hair, it causes hair breakages and can even cause the hair to smell.

The less heat emanating dryer wastes a lot of electricity compared to the other one. A longer period of use of the dryer will cause paying of higher electricity whereas a shorter period of use reduces the amount to be paid and saves cost. The money saved could even be used to make the business boom.

This is just like our Christian lives. We pass through fire to be refined.

1 Peter 1:7

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

Just as using the dryer with the higher heat is uncomfortable, we pass through uncomfortable and trying times. In the long run, the hair becomes well dried and well relaxed when the blazing dryer is used; in the same way, we become refined and become more glorious till the coming of our Lord Jesus.

It is for the foreseeable future, the scripture tells us to count it all joy in our trying times.

James 1:2-4

“Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be complete, lacking in nothing”

Our end will be a glorious one though we pass through hard times sometimes. The presence of God in our lives does not mean we will live a trouble-free life but peace in the midst of troubles and in the end, we will be refined.

What is it you pass through and think God is taking it too hard on you? In the end you’ll smile and thank God for the experience He made you have.

When we choose to disobey God, we disgrace our own selves. When we choose comfortable ways rather than what God has told us to, we disgrace own selves. It is just as using the hair dryer that does not produce heat; the hair will not be well dried and can lead to hair breakages and your hair will smell as well.

When we choose other ways rather than what God has told us just because we want our comfort, we waste away. The talents and gifts placed in you just wastes away without you being aware. You become a waste just like the dryer that emanates warm away that wastes electricity.

Prefer to pass through fire and be a fragrance to God in the end than choosing your comfort zone and suffer in the end..

Have a wonderful weekend 😀

      1. That was wonderful. It sums up man’s transition here on earth. Suffer to gain. No crown, no, cross. Be abundantly blessed.
