Did you know ?

We all here on earth are like eggs waiting to hatch?

It is either you spoil or hatch. You can’t fly while you are in your shell, that is why you need to take time in everything you do. Be patient for God’s time is the best.

Isaiah 40: 30-31

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Psalm 27:14

“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord”.

Waiting on the Lord strengthens you and this strength is renewed day in and day out. Why rush and faint when you can wait for God’s set time for you and your strength will be continually renewed in your life’s journey. Our strength will always fail us that is why we must live in the way God wants us to. Trust him as you wait on Him and He will always lead you.

Proverbs 3:5-6

” Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

To be able to hatch, the mother bird must brood on the eggs to keep it warm so that can it hatch. The heat from the mother bird will cause it to hatch. That is, the egg moves from the phase of life in shell to the phase of life outside the shell. In the same way, as we are all eager to move forward in life and not live a stagnant life, we need to stay close to God and as we draw near to God, every harm or hindrance preventing us from going forward in life is destroyed and we will move higher and higher through Jesus each day.

Just as when an egg is not kept under the mother it will get spoilt, failure to stay under the wings of God Almighty will lead to your destruction, you become a prey for the devil whose desire is to steal, kill and destroy us when we live outside God.

Psalm 91:1-4

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD,”He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”

Just as gold is passed through fire in order to be refined for use, the heat from the mother bird will cause the eggs to hatch to become little birds for them to continue grow to also to become fully grown birds and also multiply. As we pass through hard times and tests or trials, know that it is because God wants us to be refined for Him to use us.

1 Peter 1:6-7

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,

that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”

So as we pass through trials and temptations or hard times, learn to wait on God till you become refined like how God wants us to be. That’s why He tells us in James 1:2 to be happy even when we pass through such times.

James 1:2

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.”

Giving up on God while passing through such times is just like removing food from fire and no one enjoys eating a half-cooked meal. When you wait on God or have patience with God to fully work on you, you shall lack nothing. Remember you are His project still in progress.

James 1:4

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

When the little birds begin their new phase of life, they still follow the mother till it learns how to fly and look for its own food. You can’t fly immediately fly when you are hatched. In the same way, when you become a Christian, be eager to get closer to God to know Him more and no one can ever fully get to know God. The more you know Him, the more you need to know Him more.

A little bird that fails to follow the mother bird gets lost or become a prey for a devourer. When a Christian fails to follow the footsteps of Jesus, he or she loses direction as stated earlier that it is God who leads and directs our path and such a Christian is tossed by any wind that blows and also becomes a prey for the devourer who is after Christians – the devil who only seeks to steal, kill and destroy us. Live inside Jesus so you won’t lose direction and get your life to be destroyed by the devil.

The mother bird represents Jesus. It is in Him we have life and in this world we are going face tribulations but we have to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world as He has promised us in His Word.

John 16:33

” These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have have overcome the world.”

The life Jesus gives to us is to ‘hatch’ us. That means if you don’t belong to Jesus, you as the egg will be spoilt and just be thrown away by the poultry farmer. This poultry farmer represents God.

Being thrown away here means spending your eternity in Hell.

The little birds that have been hatched are we Christians. We should learn to stay with Jesus day in and day out.

The little birds grow to look like the mother bird. In the same way, we should live Christlike lives. We should live Christ centered lives. People should see us in Christ and Christ in us. Our lives should not contradict with the Word of God, which is Jesus himself.

As the little birds grow, they also begin to multiply and nurture their little birds just like the mother bird. Comparing this to our Christian lives, Jesus left a mandate for us to do, to go and make disciples from every nation. That which we have heard that has transformed us into God’s marvelous light, we should also share with everyone for them to come to the knowledge of Christ and serve Him wholeheartedly.

Matthew 28:19-20

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I’m with you always, even to the end of age.”

God bless you for reading. May the Lord grant you the grace to stay under His wings and multiply.
