The Train Movie Review

Mount Zion movies have been my favorite since the ages. I had planned to do the movie review for The Train several months ago but I hardly had time because of lots of things. The train is a bio epic movie of our daddy in the Lord, Mike Bamiloye. It dramatizes his life story into fulfilling his purpose. His drama ministry has blessed countless number of lives including me and my family. The train consists of seven different chapters. All the characters played their roles so well. The train, a journey of faith, made me realize the importance of obeying to the letter whatever the Lord tells us. The setting of the scenes of the olden days was so real you would think those scenes were shot during those times. The sound effects were done so well. I enjoyed every bit of the movie.Lessons from the trainIn the prologue, the words Abayomi’s mother spoke concerning her son on her death bed shows the power of the tongue. Her positive pronunciations about Abayomi brought to life who Abayomi became. If she had spoken negatively, it may have also had an impact on him too. Parents, please be mindful of the words you speak concerning your wards, your words can shape or mar them. What we utter concerning ourselves matter a lot. If we speak concerning ourselves with self- pity, that will be the results of our lives and vice versa. The Bible describes our tongue like the pen of a ready writer. As we speak, it is written or recorded.Psalm 45: 1“…my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.”The tongue also contains power, in it lies death and life based on what we speak.Proverbs 18:21“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”Unfortunately Abayomi’s mother died when he was only four years. The tribute rendered at Abayomi’s mother’s funeral showed the kind of woman she was and the life she lived. All attendees of the funeral were admonished not to be sorrowful after the burial because they knew where she was going. Where we go after our lives here on earth matter most than the life we spend here. Never forget to live your life with eternity in view. The first chapter; Iya Eleni, was where Abayomi had to live with Iya Eleni because his sister had to go to school. Even at a tender age, Abayomi had started developing his talent, where he wanted to direct the David and Goliath bible story. God has placed a talent in each and every one of us and we should make good use of it. Right from when we get to know what He has placed inside us, we should start using it but never in a negative way, always for His glory. If you don’t know what He has planted in you, just ask Him, He’s our father and friend. He’ll let you know and teach you how to use it.The devil hates every person who is a terror to his kingdom and seeks to destroy such people even before they grow and get to know more of God. Abayomi was one and the devil thought he could get Abayomi through stealing and being stubborn but God had the greater hand over his life. Iya Eleni taught Abayomi to be morally upright but did not introduce God to him. Having good morals is not enough but knowing Christ for yourself is more than enough. Iya Eleni thought sending him to herbalists and witch doctors who use Bible to cover up could solve Abayomi’s bad behaviour. The ultimate problem solver is Jesus; He’s the answer for every type of problem, whether big or small. Just run to Him for solution. Some gratification are short lived, they are ephemeral, while there is one that last for eternity. The type of gratification which was supposed to be the solution for Abayomi’s case lasted for some few hours but what Christ gives is eternal. In chapter 2; He Knows My Name, Abayomi had to go and live with another foster mother since Iya Eleni had died. He usually run away from school to go to film centers with his friend to watch movies centered on fighting. This had an impact on him, he displayed it when he alleged his one of his classmates had stolen his biro. What we watch and listen to have a great impact on our lives. The eyes and ears are body’s windows and what we allow through them determines our reactions to certain situations. Be mindful of you watch and listen.Chapter 3 is titled The Turn Around. It was the turnaround for Abayomi where he gave his life to Christ and had a new beginning. He also spoke about Christ to others too; he didn’t keep to himself what he had got. Never be a Christian who fails to share the word of God with others. It is a command from God for us to share the new life we have in Him to others for them to also gain this eternal life. It is only greedy Christians who fail to populate the kingdom of God and depopulate Hell. Never keep what you’ve got to yourself.Matthew 28:19-20Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.Amen.No one can be too busy for God. Along the way, he slipped back. He was able to convince his fellowship members with a flimsy excuse that he was having “a self-evaluation retreat”. You can deceive man but not God. He thought he could live on his own. Never get tired of studying the word of God. It is a doorway through which the devil penetrates into our lives if we fail to feed ourselves with the word of God.Never read books that strengthen your flesh and weaken your spirit. Don’t ever think you’ve known enough of God and you don’t need to know Him more again. No one can ever know more of God; the more we know Him, the more we need to know Him and the more we need to know Him more. Fellowship is very important, you can’t serve God alone. Abayomi regretted all those actions he took in the long run.Don’t treat God like a fan; only switching Him on when the weather is hot and switching Him off when the weather is cool. It was until Abayomi had a bad incident that he called upon God. God should be our daily talking mate, no matter the matter. The first scene of Abayomi writing a drama script in the movie was after his reconciliation with God. Reconciliation with God retraces or redirects you back to His plan for your life. It gets you back on track.
The power of our tongue is so profound. Abayomi thought he was jokingly uttering he would soon be telecasted. Never doubt the power of God.Sometimes the comely plans of God for our lives may seem blurry initially. Abayomi preferred to stay in the house than go to the school he was initially granted admission to. He wanted Adeyemi college of education but God had his already laid out plans and Abayomi had a different plan altogether. Sometimes, the plans God has for us may taste bitter initially but it will leave a long lasting sweetness in the end; sweeter than honey.Chapter 4, …And The Work Begins talks about being functional at any place God puts you. Your talents and gifts are needed at wherever God places you. There are some people we intentionally have to shut down so that we can arrive at the destination we have in mind and that was just what Bro. Kayode did to Bro. Rotimi so he could deliver his message and convince Abayomi to join the fellowship when Rotimi was diverting. We all need a mentor in our life. Though God may speak through them to out, our own convictions from God matter most, especially in the aspect of marriage which is a lifelong contract. Abayomi’s father told him about his wife to be though he didn’t believe it when he was told but it happened in the long run. It is very pleasing when after leaving a place where God placed a person, we leave a mark or make an impact. Abayomi lifted the drama unit to a higher level during his tenure and even the fellowship president joined the drama unit.We must follow Jesus back to back so that the Lord can use us to fulfill our purposes on this earth like Abayomi’s foster mother advised him and this is not devoid of suffering and trials. There is a stage in life you get to a lot of people ask when you’re getting married just like Abayomi was. Never allow yourself to be pressured. On your way to the top, you may find people who may not understand you but you have to press forward just as Abayomi did when the elders of the church summoned him.Never dash your hopes in man. The arm of flesh will fail you. Abayomi and his friend thought the presence of his sister will solve a lot of problem but it was not so, all of our help comes from God alone.Chapter 5, titled Sister Gloria starts with a scene where Abayomi acts a scene with sister Sola in a studio. He had to act that scene several times before the right was gotten. Our drama ministers pass through a lot before we watch their films on our screens, let’s not forget them in our prayers and support them financially too. There is an adage in Ghanaian Akan language that says “Efie biaa Mensah wo mu” literally meaning “In every home, there’s someone who is a “but”. Even in the Christian community, there were gossips bringing a “but” in the community. Three girls wasted so much time discussing about Abayomi. Make sure you don’t be a but in the Christendom. Don’t waste your time on useless conversations when you can use that time for something profitable. I wonder if those gossips were already married or even in a relationship for them to degrade another person concerning his relationship life. They tagged their gossip as sharing concerns so that they know how to pray and intercede for Abayomi, also called Bro. Mike. When you try to divert from the calling of God for your life, you may sometimes find yourself unconsciously pulling back to where God wants you to be. You even see through the eyes of where God wants you to be just like Abayomi ended up saying “1,2, 3…. ACTION” in class whiles teaching.I loved what Abayomi; Bro. Mike, did when Sister Sola visited. He was about to close the door when he reminded his stand for sexual purity and opened it. Anything can happen behind closed doors.I don’t know why a lot Christian are too straight forward when it comes to proposal. Abayomi was so, so straightforward in proposing to sister Sola. He could have been a little bit informal, you know?God can tell us to make certain decisions that may seem foolish to man, but in the end, we will laugh and be filled with joy, we will look back and be glad we took to the Lord’s side. Abayomi’s decision looked foolish in the eyes of man but see how we are all now benefitting from his wise decision.I laugh every time Sola’s mother says she wants to go drink some water, just to create an avenue for Abayomi and Sola to talk 😂The train is such a nice movie and inspiring that it had 1million views just within two weeks of uploading the movieI wonder what is with Christian sisters and replying of proposals by writing. Somebody has gathered all his courage to face you and reply by writing when you’re facing the person. I never knew it was Daddy Mike who gave Mummy the name “Gloria” till I watched the train. If humans foreknew things like our Father in Heaven, I’m sure Mrs. Adesiyan; Abayomi’s sister would have retracted what she said at the introduction ceremony even before she uttered them out. When God is with you no matter how hardhearted a person you may need is, He will soften the person’s heart for your sake; as soft as silk just as He softened Abayomi’s sister’s heart. She finally allowed the union of Abayomi and Sola.Chapter 6 bears the title The Train which starts with a scene where Bro. Mike a.k.a. Abayomi and his group go to a church to perform a drama ministration. A two-hour stage drama was given fifteen minutes to be performed but God proved Himself strong. What the power of prayer can do is beyond our imaginations. the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much. As the prayer team of the drama team were praying, God touched the pastor’s heart and the time was extended for them.
As said earlier, God’s instructions may seem foolish in the beginning but wise in the end. Little did the members of the pioneers of Mount Zion team know what the Lord was going to do with them, no one would have complained but just join the train. The final chapter of the movie is Stage to Screen. God is always interested in our levelling up. By God’s grace the first movie of Mount Zion Film Ministry was cast and it was wonderful. The Lord leveled them up from performing stage plays to screen plays.God is ready to level us up when we obey him totally.PUNCHLINES I GOT FROM THE TRAIN📍Your being alive today is not a mistake; it is only a life without Jesus Christ that is a big mistake.📍You can’t be too busy for God.📍If you have faith, there is no height you cannot reach in life.📍Don’t run away from your calling📍Whenever you feel God is leading you to the lowest valley, you might want to get a hoe and start digging for answers because your gold might just be around the corner.📍The moment our focus is shifted from God; we will always be disappointed.📍For as long as He is my God, I’ll do what He tells me.📍If it is from God, then His foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of men.📍I know God and He knows the future.📍Stop looking around for information and go to God for revelation.📍You will get there and beyond. For as long as he is my God, I’ll always do what he tells me even if it seems foolish in the sight of men.
God knows what is best for me.
God bless you dear, it’s really inspiring.
